Our Hospice Centre

Our centre, Ty Hosbis, is based in the grounds of Whitchurch Hospital, in Cardiff. We provide care, counselling, therapies and more.

Ty Hosbis

There are no beds or wards at Ty Hosbis, instead we offer care and support to our patients at our centre with day clinics, plus we provide the majority of our care to people in their own homes. We spend time understanding the preferences of those we care for and where they wish to stay, and work with patients and their families to support this choice.

Complimentary Therapies

Complementary therapies are treatments that can be provided alongside conventional care to aid relaxation and improve your sense of wellbeing. At City Hospice we offer complementary therapy treatments to patients, their families and carers, and those who have been bereaved.

Gardens

Our beautiful gardens are a quiet spot, full of nature, which can be enjoyed by patients, carers, fellow volunteers and visitors.

Day Centre

Every week we hold activities at Ty Hosbis for patients who are looking for social interaction, a change of scenery, to learn something new or just have a couple of hours of enjoyment. Often patients are collected by the City Hospice minibus. These sessions also provide the carer with some respite.
