Donate a Day of specialist nursing care for £150 at City Hospice, Cardiff’s local hospice

Donate a Day is a very special way to support City Hospice by donating a day of nursing care.

You can donate a day of vital nursing care provided by one of our clinical nurse specialists for £150.

The date you choose is up to you – you can buy a day as a gift, chose a date that’s special to you, maybe an anniversary or in memory of a loved one or as a gift to City Hospice all year round.

Every year there is a greater need for palliative care and the pandemic has resulted in an even higher number of patients and their families requiring our support, making our incredible City Hospice nurses irreplaceable. Like many frontline staff our team have faced challenges throughout the pandemic, however remaining in the community to care for patients and their families always remains our charity’s top priority.fundraising with JustGiving

You can donate a day as an individual or as a team from your own fundraiser, dress down days, bake sales, challenges, raffles and so much more. You can even become a Friend of City Hospice by becoming a Regular Giver . After donating a minimum of £12.50 per month for 12 months your kind donations can be used to dedicate a day of nursing care on a date that’s meaningful to you.

A date can be donated several times representing one of our nurses who make up the team of Clinical Nurse Specialists at City Hospice. You’ll be donating £150 knowing that your donation will go directly to funding a whole day of specialist nursing care to people in their own homes – it could be the most important visit of the day! Our nurses help our patients live their fullest lives for as long as possible and support their families throughout their difficult journey.

Carly Murray is a supporter of City Hospice and has been involved in lots of fundraising following the loss of her Mum.

She tells us why she supports Donate A Day:

“Donating a day of nursing care has been a really special way to remember my lovely Mum on a date that’s special to us. It’s an honour to be able to do this in her memory knowing that we are helping other families just like us who need palliative nursing care.”

Allen Bryant has been a nurse at City Hospice for 8 years and tells us what the Donate a Day campaign means to him and the team of Clinical Nurse Specialists:

“My priority, and that of our team at City Hospice, is to do everything we can to care for our patients and enable them to make the most of the time they have, as well as supporting their families. When our kind supporters Donate a Day of nursing care it means a lot to us as a team knowing that we have the support of people in our community to help ensure we can continue to provide essential care at a time when people really need it.”
