We are asking the people of Cardiff to consider sponsoring a day of nursing care.

The City Hospice nurses and counsellors provide an essential service to those who need it most. The team support families through the most difficult of times and by maintaining the best quality of life, our nurses ensure patients and their families have the chance to create lasting memories.

With the Donate a Day campaign we hope to encourage people of all ages to join in and fund a day of a City Hospice nurses’ time.

To meet the increasing need for hospice care, we are launching this new fundraising project in the hope that donors will find new, fun ways of raising money to provide nursing.

£150 pays for a day of nursing care for patients with life-limiting illnesses, making a big difference to the lives of patients and their families.

Sponsor your particular day

Supporters can select to sponsor a date that’s meaningful to them, helping the charity cover essential nursing costs. Keen contributors who raise over £150 can cover multiple dates of hospice care.

As well as medical support, nursing and end of life care, City Hospice also offers day therapy activities for patients, as well as counselling, bereavement coffee mornings and children’s bereavement groups.

We have set a target of £55,000 to raise throughout the year, which will help pay for over 365 days of nursing care, delivered here at Ty Hosbis, and within people’s own homes – which is a major part of City Hospice’s work.

Donate a Day encourages you to embrace hospice care and support our nurses. Whether you want to join in as an individual or a team, together we can care for families and patients throughout Cardiff. On their unique date, each donor’s name will be displayed on our website and in reception, celebrating the hospice care provided thanks to their sponsorship.
