At City Hospice there are twice-weekly day centre groups for patients under the care of a named Clinical Nurse Specialist at City Hospice.
Our Day Centre groups at held on Mondays & Thursdays afternoon. It is a social occasion for patients, facilitated by our wonderful volunteers. Some of the activities at the day centre are:
- Musical entertainment
- Quizzes
- Bingo
- Arts and crafts
Many of our patients report that they enjoy coming to the day centre as they spend time with new people and their families have a break from providing their care too. There are facilities to use volunteer drivers for transport to the day centre, however, we encourage patients to use their own transport where possible as the number of volunteer drivers is limited.
To ensure safety related to COVID one of the team will contact to ask screening questions regarding COVID before attendance.
