Charity of the Year

Nerys Eldridge, Hafod Housing
Many companies decide to work with us as their Charity of the Year in partnership for a given period of time. This is usually one to two years, or when we’re really lucky, indefinitely! For us, the advantages of working with local businesses are fantastic…
Our partnerships are designed to be mutually beneficial
In addition to raising money we benefit from a range of skills and experience that we could not access otherwise. At the same time, you get to experience some fabulous team building opportunities whilst having fun, in and out of the workplace! There are lots of opportunities to support us by working as a team in our garden and on projects. We even encourage you to take part in Shop Wars where you can go head to head with your colleagues! Our partnerships are specifically designed to be mutually beneficial and we have a wide range of opportunities available.
We have a dedicated Charity of the Year Corporate Relationship Manager, Nicky Piper
Nicky will work closely with you for the duration of our partnership. Whether you choose a charity based on a staff vote, or via a pitch process, Nicky will be happy to come and present to your staff, or meet you for an informal discussion.

By partnering with our highly regarded local charity we will tailor our opportunities to help meet your Corporate Social Responsibility goals. Through partnership with City Hospice you will be supporting expert end of life care for over 1,200 patients and their families in Cardiff every year.
Choosing City Hospice to be your Charity of the Year is an honour
that we take seriously and welcome whole-heartedly. We are proud of our Charity of the Year partnerships and we value the support we receive from local businesses. All amounts raised are gratefully appreciated not matter how large or small. There are even opportunities to pay £150 for a day of nursing care with our Donate a Day campaign.
Gareth Howells, Brand Manager, Wessex Garages explains:
“We enjoy a great relationship with City Hospice and have done for six years. Volunteering and fundraising have been so much fun and the team have become so much closer because of it”
