Western Power Distribution are proud  sponsors of City Hospice’s 100 Heroes Challenge

Western Power Distribution (WPD) believes in playing an active role in the communities it serves by supporting worthy causes – like charities and voluntary organisations. WPD is pleased to support City Hospice because it is a well-respected charity providing free specialist palliative care to support patients and their families during extremely difficult circumstances. They are proud to sponsor 100 Hospice Heroes.

Karen Welch, Corporate Communications Officer said:

A WPD Hero!

“City Hospice is a fantastic charity! We encourage local people and businesses to get behind the campaign. It’s easy to help raise a bumper amount of money to support the fantastic work that they do. We hope the 100 Heroes Challenge will help raise much needed funds for the hospice in a really fun and enjoyable way. Participants can think up ways of taking part which they themselves can enjoy and at the same time, help them to stay fit and well. Our wellbeing is very important particularly during these difficult times. So something like this can not only make us feel good but help others too.

Karen explains why WPD continue to support City Hospice and the sponsor 100 Hospice Heroes:

We have supported City Hospice for a long time with their fundraising events. More recently, we have supported two very successful campaigns. During September and October we sponsored the Virtual Challenge to support the hospice’s recovery fund, followed by the Christmas Jolly Jumpers campaign. The campaigns are well organised and easy to get involved with. They bring a lot of enjoyment to those who participate too! If you have any ideas about challenges you would like to suggest please let us know.

These challenges are ideal to support and help motivate staff, and they can help develop their strengths. We would urge businesses and individuals to get on board”.

At City Hospice we are excited to launch our 100 Hospice Heroes Challenge. We hope this challenge will motivate members of the community, boost team morale and provide an opportunity for people to support us! Its FREE to sign up too! You’ll receive a medal and you can take part as an individual or as a team. By taking part in our 100 Heroes Challenge you will make a huge difference to our patients and their families.
