We meet the team from the Rescue Hotel, who will be supporting this year’s Wag this Way!
This year the very special Rescue Hotel who support Cardiff Dogs Home, will be joining us for Wag this Way! The City Hospice 5km charity dog walk takes place on Sunday 29th March in Bute Park, Cardiff. We’re thrilled to work with another great cause in the capital, and share their story of why the Rescue Hotel are supporting City Hospice.
“City Hospice is a local charity and a very worthwhile cause. We feel it’s important to support hospice care in our community, and what better way than all coming out together, humans and dogs to raise funds and show our support.
The Rescue Hotel is a recently formed volunteer led group, supporting the work and the dogs at Cardiff dogs home.
The Rescue Hotel was formed in 2019 by a small group of volunteer dog walkers from Cardiff Dogs Home. Our purpose is to support the hundreds of beautiful dogs who find themselves at Cardiff Dogs Home each year. We provide food, toys, veterinary care, training classes and any required building improvements.
The immediate Rescue Hotel group has around 9 volunteers. There are around 500 active registered walkers. In addition to this we have corporate groups that we work with as well as work experience and trainees.
The team are very excited about this year’s Wag this Way. We know there will be a great atmosphere and we’ll be surrounded by dog lovers. We are looking forward to bringing a couple of dogs along to help promote Cardiff Dogs Home & The Rescue Hotel, all whilst supporting the work of City Hospice”.
We can’t wait to meet the very special dogs from Cardiff Dogs Home at Wag this Way. If you haven’t already registered for our charity dog walk on Sunday 29th March please click here to sign up today.
