Dogs and their owners will be heading to Bute Park, Cardiff for a fun day out on March 26 in aid of a local charity.

City Hospice’s Wag this Way event will feature a 5km sponsored walk through the popular park, followed by a dog show hosted by Dog Furiendly in which pooches can compete to be crowned ‘handsome hound’, ‘gorgeous girl’, ‘dazzling duo’ and more.

Admiral Pet will be supporting Wag this Way as headline sponsor. Embracing a key part of the company’s culture, the Admiral team love to get involved with causes in their local community and colleagues will be volunteering at the event to raise funds and awareness of the hospice’s valuable work.

City Hospice is the only provider of home-based specialist palliative care in the capital and provides care for those with life-limiting or terminal illnesses, in addition to bereavement support and counselling for the families of its patients.

Pritpal Powar, Head of Admiral Pet, said:

“We’re excited to be sponsoring Wag this Way in support of City Hospice, an incredibly valuable organisation that’s so important to the community in which Admiral Pet was born.

“Not only will it help with vital fundraising, it’s also a chance for dog owners to get together, make new friends and celebrate dogs in all their glory. Admiral Pet is all about doing the right thing to look after your pets and safe socialising is a great benefit for the wellbeing of dogs. We hope to see many people from Cardiff and beyond at this year’s event!”

Amanda Fenton, Fundraising and Marketing Director, said:

“We’re thrilled that Admiral Pet has come on board as the headline sponsor for Wag this Way this year. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone get together and enjoy the company of lots of furry friends, while supporting the charity and helping us continue the work we do.”
