Cardiff luxury shoe retailers The Brogue Trader played host to an Italian themed fundraiser for George Thomas Hospice Care in Morgan Arcade.
The evening, hosted by Brogue Trader owner Chris McNamara and George Thomas’ very own Nicky Piper MBE showed off some of Wales finest sporting talents of past and present, including current Welsh rugby internationals Dan Lydiate and Josh Turnbull and former Welsh internationals Rupert Moon, Ian Gough and Alix Popham. Representing boxing was former featherweight world champion Steve Robinson.
Ensuring guests didn’t go hungry were caterers Spiros, serving up their delicious canapés and John Saunders of The Dead Canary provided an array of drinks to swill down the food. In-between Q&A’s with the stars, guests were treated to the soulful tones of singer Dennis DeMille and were able to browse the various shops in the Arcade, including The Brogue Trader and more.
The evening ended with a raffle and auction, both of which helped the hospice raise funds of over £2000. The evening was deemed a success by organisers and guests alike and no-one could be seen leaving without a smile on their face.
