Soroptimist International Cardiff & District raises funds and donates 6 days of nursing care this Christmas

Soroptimist Cardiff & District President, Kim Ann Williamson MBE and Sandra Ajax alongside City Hospice CEO, Liz Booyse and Senior Fundraising Coordinator, Daisy Magill
To celebrate their 70th anniversary, Soroptimist International Cardiff & District held a garden party during the summer on the beautiful grounds of City Hospice and raised £1,000. As well as donating trees to be planted in our gardens, the money raised will go towards donating 6 days of vital nursing care.
Soroptimist International Cardiff and District is part of a worldwide organization of women, working towards transforming the lives and status of women and girls through education, empowerment and enabling opportunities.
The organisation have been a great supporter of City Hospice for many years now and we were so grateful when we met with President Kim Ann Williamson MBE and former President, Sandra Ajax. They told us:
“The way we worked with you to make the garden party a success was amazing, and we encourage members from all over Wales to support City Hospice. We are delighted to use some of the money raised to help your specialist nurses care for your patients and their families and be featured in your special Donate a Day Advent calendar”.
Senior Fundraising Coordinator, Daisy Magill said,
“We cannot thank Kim, Sandra and the team at Soroptimist enough for their support. The garden party was such a success and the money raised will make a huge difference to our work. It was great to meet you both and we can’t wait to work with you more in the future”.
