Local Fitness and Performance Group, Raise the Baah collaborates with City Hospice and supports Love Your Hospice Month.

Based in Cardiff, Raise the Baah was formed by a group of coaches offering a variety of training sessions to help young people develop skills and techniques to thrive in different aspects of their lives through sport.

Over the course of 8 months, Raise the Baah is working with Jamie Burley Flat Roofing in collaborating with local charities by printing their logos on their football kits. Jamie Burley Flat Roofing said, “City Hospice cared for my mum, the support received was amazing and I am proud to be supporting such a great charity”. In addition, Raise the Baah will be working with City Hospice during February to raise funds for Love Your Hospice Month.

Nana Baah told us:

“We decided to pick City Hospice as we know people who have been supported by the charity and we appreciate the love and care they give to so many people. The work you do is unbelievable and want to help promote the amazing services provided.

As well as promoting City Hospice’s logo on our football kits we will be selling hats, hot beverages and bucket collections during Love Your Hospice to help raise vital funds.

Love Your Hospice Month is such a great initiative to help people understand more about the work City Hospice does and it’s an honour to be a part of this brand new campaign. There is a real need for schools and organisations to understand the different types of care that City Hospice offers and we hope we can help spread the word. We feel people will be very surprised and more forthcoming to help when they see the level of care provided”.

Fundraising Coordinator, Katie Vaughan said,

“After meeting Nana from Raise the Baah, it was a pleasure to see his football teams in action at one of their first competitive games of the year. Nana is a real inspiration to others, helping boost young people’s confidence through sports. It is really admirable. Thank you also to Jamie Burley Flat Roofing who wanted to use City Hospice as one of the charities logo’s on Raise the Baah’s sports kits.
