Hundreds of people have supported City Hospice’s Forever Flowers campaign in the first few weeks since the launch.

The campaign invites supporters to purchase a limited-edition flower to remember cherished family members, friends and loved ones.

Just a few weeks after the launch, over 700 Forever Flowers have already been sold at £18 per flower.

Due to the overwhelming success of the campaign, flowers can now also be pre-ordered by completing a leaflet in local City Hospice stores, in addition to online at www.cityhospice.org.uk/forever-flowers. City Hospice are encouraging the public to purchase their limited edition flower as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

A unique and lasting tribute, the Forever Flowers will be displayed in one of Cardiff’s most iconic locations, Cardiff Castle, from Saturday July 24 to Sunday August 8, and will be available to collect during the final two days of the display and following the event.

Purchasing a flower will support the work of City Hospice, Cardiff’s local hospice, which provides care to people with terminal or life limiting illnesses, as well as essential counselling and support services for the families of their patients.

The only provider of home-based specialist palliative care in the capital, City Hospice provides care and compassion to 550 patients at any one time.

Liz Andrews, Chief Executive of City Hospice, said: “We’re overwhelmed at the incredible response to the Forever Flowers campaign. It’s a great opportunity for people in our community to remember and cherish their loved ones in a truly special way and we’re so glad that people are taking the opportunity to do so. We can’t wait to see the striking display this summer.”

Forever Flowers can be purchased by visiting www.cityhospice.org.uk/forever-flowers or pre-ordered in your local City Hospice store.
