We’re delighted that Leighton Davies, Sales Manager at the Village Hotel, is supporting City Hospice by getting #FitForTheCause.

#FitForTheCause is part of our Urgent Appeal to help us to continue to look after the people of Cardiff facing life limiting and terminal illnesses.

City Hospice is a local charity providing palliative care and support to patients and their families in their homes in and around Cardiff. For the last 12 months, we at the Village Cardiff have been supporting this great charity.

As many of you know, last year I set myself a personal challenge to lose 100lb by the end of 2019, which I did not succeed in doing. However, on a positive note I have now exceeded this goal and have lost over 100lb.

My aim is to be able to complete my first ever 5k run!

During the month of April I have decided to support City Hospice by participating in #FitForTheCause. My aim is to be able to complete my first ever 5k run. This is something I have always wanted to achieve. I aim to do this by using the Couch to 5K app and run in my local area daily. I will of course be observing social distancing. By taking part in this challenge, it’s a great way to exercise and support my health and wellbeing during these difficult times. With many gyms closed and memberships temporarily frozen, this is a fantastic way to stay fit, keep motivated and also support a great local charity.

So what are you waiting for? Get #FitForTheCause and help support your local charity today.
