Become a Friend of City Hospice.

Passionate fundraiser and supporter of City Hospice, Kerry Lewis, explains why she regularly donates a gift to City Hospice.

Become a Regular Giver by making a monthly donation to help us plan and continue to provide essential care. We look after the people of Cardiff facing terminal cancer and other life limiting illnesses.

Kerry tells us:

“I support City Hospice after losing my precious husband Mike to cancer in October 2014. I am overwhelmed by the care, patience, time and understanding shown to Mike 6 months before he died.  City Hospice helped me thorough-out my journey too. I benefited from the  incredible counselling service before Mike died and for several months after I lost him. To give something back by supporting others and making a regular gift is the easiest thing I have done.

By making a regular donation I know this helps the charity plan carefully how my donation, and that of other Regular Givers, can be put to good use.

I feel very passionate about City Hospice as my life has been touched by their care. It is honestly one of the easiest ways to support a charity, I also have another regular payment set up with another charity.

I would most definitely encourage everyone to set up a Regular Giving payment – if I can do it, anyone can.

“One person doesn’t make much difference but together we can make a huge difference.”

I will be continuing to regularly donate to the wonderful City Hospice and I hope my story has encouraged you to sign up too.

Daisy Magill, Fundraising Officer thanks Kerry for becoming a Regular Giver:

Thank you Kerry for highlighting the work of the hospice and the care we provide. We are so glad we could be there to support both Mike and you when you needed us. It’s a special act of kindness to become a Regular Giver to help other families just like you.

At City Hospice we care for our patient’s families too. We offer free counselling services and support to those closest to them.
