Heatforce held their annual Charity Golf Day and raised vital funds for City Hospice & Prostate Cymru

The 15th annual Heatforce Charity Golf Day took place this July and raised an incredible £10,000 for City Hospice and Prostate Cymru.

40 teams took part and were treated to a full day of food, golf and entertainment. City Hospice Corporate Partnerships Manager, Nicky Piper played in the Heatforce team with Club Captain, Brett Townley and club members Gareth Lewis & David Williams. Gareth is a retired GP and said, “The City Hospice staff do such a brilliant job. I saw first-hand how amazing the medical staff are, especially lead Clinical Nurse Specialist, Terri Gaze. I’m so pleased to take part and support the charity”.

After golf, the players enjoyed a delicious two-course meal and entertainment from City Hospice ambassador, Phil Steel who has the audience in fits of laughter with his sporting stories. Phil then ran the auction with Heatforce CEO, Paul Maddocks and announced the raffle winners.

The winners of the golf were revealed and the presentation of 10 team prizes showed how competitive the day was. Two teams scored 140pt, with the winning team being decided by the best score over the final nine holes, Smarter Components took the crown.

The staff at Heatforce worked tirelessly throughout the day and a special mention to CEO, Paul Maddocks and Group Director, Jake Maddocks who organised the day so well. Paul said:

“I would like to thank all my staff for working so hard today. I’d also like to thank all the teams for taking part, this event was our biggest yet and I’m exceptionally proud to be able to donate a fantastic amount of money to two amazing charities”.

Jake added, “We’re delighted with the day and so pleased to be supported by so many companies who we consider friends. Over the last 15 years, they’ve helped us raise over £125,000 for local charities”.

Corporate Partnerships Manager, Nicky Piper said

“A special thank you to Heatforce for hosting a wonderful day and for having me! To everyone involved, you raised such a fantastic amount and will make a huge difference to our work. Look forward to next year!”
