Over 30 employees of creative communication agency, Golley Slater will be taking on the Cardiff Bay 10k in aid of City Hospice.

Golley Slater is an integrated agency specialising in PR, advertising, media buying, and social media marketing, delivering campaigns for a wide range of private and public sector organisations. The company has been based in Cardiff for over 65 years and is always seeking to support the local community. City Hospice is delighted be chosen as their charity to run for in the Cardiff Bay 10k.

Gwen Davies, Account Manager kindly spoke to us,

“City Hospice does really important work in the community and it’s a cause close to the hearts of many of the team here. We really like how City Hospice gives support to families and makes it possible for people receiving care to be treated in the comfort of their own homes.

We’re always looking for fun team activities and this initiative has the added benefit of supporting a charity that does brilliant work in our local community, whilst encouraging us all to get a bit fitter. It’s great to see so many take part including people new to running and old hands!

The team have been training hard, running in their spare time as well as our organised after work and lunch runs where we train together.

It’s important to support the community in which we live. City Hospice does great work – and in part relies on the fundraising of businesses. We’d encourage businesses and individuals alike to get involved! Hospice care allows people to live their lives as fully as possible, for as long as possible. City Hospice is a charity that touches the lives of so many – whether they’re affected themselves, or they have a friend or family member using the service.”

Fundraising Coordinator, Katie Vaughan said,

“It is fantastic that the team at Golley Slater have teamed up to raise money for City Hospice by taking part in Cardiff Bay’s 10k on Sunday 26th March. Taking part in a sporting event is a great way to get together with your colleagues for a good cause. Good luck to all of you who are running, we can’t wait to see you all in your Golley Slater x City Hospice t-shirts!”.
