Llanishen Golf Club President and Lady Captain are supporting Forever Flowers
We are delighted that having chosen City Hospice as her charity of the Year, Lady Captain Lindsay Weare is supporting Forever Flowers. Keren Morgan President of the club and volunteer at City Hospice for over 25 years is also excited about the campaign and visiting the display at Cardiff Castle.
On a recent visit to LLanishen Golf Club with our promotional flowers we caught up with both Keren and Lindsay who told us why they are supporting the campaign.
Lindsay told us:
“Forever Flowers is a great way to remember and celebrate the lives of those we have sadly lost. During the last year I have sadly lost my mother-in-law and one of my colleagues in work. Both received great care from City Hospice during the latter stages of their illnesses. I have purchased my Forever Flowers and it will be a lovely way to remember them whilst visiting the display”.
You may have seen Keren volunteering at various events over the years at City Hospice. She joined as a volunteer in 1994! Keren has also been known to take part in a sky dive and a wing walk all to raise vital funds for City Hospice.
Keren explains:
“I am delighted to support the Hospice through the Forever Flowers campaign. I normally volunteer in the Hospice but haven’t been able to do much recently because of Covid. I am really looking forward to volunteering at the display in Cardiff Castle soon. The work of the Hospice is wonderful and very important to the people of Cardiff. Sadly Covid has hit our fundraising badly and we need every penny we can raise to keep up the good work. Please support the hospice by buying a Forever Flower”.
