We are so grateful to all the fantastic people who volunteer at City Hospice. Cast Members from the Disney Store Cardiff share their story of why they are supporting City Hospice’s charity dog walk, Wag this Way on Sunday 29th March.
“City Hospice is a local charity which supports people and their families at what is their most difficult time. It allows us to be part of making a small difference within our community. It is also a charity which is close to the heart of one of our store’s cast members. We feel we are helping a charity who are truly doing important work.
Disney as a company has its own volunteer initiative called VoluntEARS. This programme provides opportunities for cast members to contribute their time, talents and resources to make a positive impact on their local community while furthering the traditions of the Walt Disney Company. We love having the ability to spread a bit of Disney cheer to those who need it most.
Last year we really enjoyed the team aspect of Wag this Way, as we have at all of City Hospice’s events. There was such a positive energy and atmosphere all day. Although the day was busy and full of things to do, no one felt like they were working and it flew by. We had such a great time, and many people from last year want to go again.
If you are looking for opportunities to feel like you are making a real difference to a charity at the same time as team bonding through the shared experience of volunteering, then volunteering with City Hospice is for you. This charity relies on its volunteers (many of whom are from businesses) in order to allow its fantastic events to run.
The City Hospice team are so supportive and easy to communicate with. They will keep you involved every step of the way!
Wag this way is the ideal way to get out for the day, spend some time with friends and family and of course plenty of dogs! It’s a day full of activity and fun while at the same time helping a great cause.
This year our Disney Cardiff team are most looking forward to another packed team day out together with lots of laughter and of course DOGS. We look forward to making lots and lots of great new memories together!”

Our 5km event, Wag this Way takes place on Sunday 29th March in Bute Park, Cardiff. City Hospice will welcome dogs and their humans to this special event, as they raise funds to support palliative care throughout the capital.
