We’d like to thank Wessex Garages who have kindly sponsored our Velothon Wales cycling jerseys and car advertising to publicise our free charity places.
The race, taking place next month (Sunday 8th July), is a closed road cycling event with something for everyone with 60k, 125k and 140k routes available.
The Wessex Nissan Garage on Hadfield Rd has supported City Hospice for the last three years and General Manager, Gareth Howells, even cycled from the Grand Canyon to Las Vegas in 2017 to raise money for us.
Gareth Howells said, “Cycling in America last year was a wonderful experience and I thoroughly enjoyed raising funds for such a wonderful charity. Wessex Garages is proud to support Cardiff’s local hospice and encourage anyone who wants to give the Velothon a go, to sign up.”
To help advertise our Velothon Wales charity places, the company has kindly sign-written and donated a Nissan X Trail to us in the lead up to the event. Wessex Garages have also sponsored the cycling jerseys that are being given free to participants who sign up to ride for City Hospice.
Rachal Minchinton, our Head of Income Generation, is delighted at the support shown by Gareth and his team. “Without the support of local businesses like Wessex Garages, we wouldn’t be able to continue supporting as many patients with incurable illnesses and their families as we do.
