City Hospice launch a Recovery Fund as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic
A special thank you from Liz, Chief Executive Officer at City Hospice as Recovery Fund is launched
Your donations continue to make a difference – “Earlier this year, in March we launched our Urgent Appeal and asked the people of Cardiff to donate to maintain our essential service. Thank you to every person who gave a donation to our charity. Your kindness means our services can continue to make a difference to the families we care for throughout Cardiff.”
We still need your help and have launched our Recovery Fund
In March of this year we were all unsettled; uncertain about the virus, its impact on people and even the true extent of the symptoms. However, during all of this uncertainty that still remains the City Hospice team keep doing what we do every day – care for our patients. Our clinical team have adapted to new ways of working We offer virtual consultations if patients prefer, and PPE has become the norm. It’s hard not to be able to give a patient or family member a hug or hold a hand when needed but we remain in the community caring for patients when they need us most
More patients are needing our care
As we move into the next stage of the COVID-19 pandemic we see the number of people being referred to City Hospice, for our exceptional standards of care, continue to increase. This is something we are proud of. It means that those needing our care, from every community in Cardiff can access our service free of charge. But we still need your help to continue to deliver these high standards of care, the care that every person in our community; our friends, loved ones and neighbours deserve.
