Cardiff Life Awards – A celebration of City Hospice’s outstanding contribution
This March, Cardiff’s beautiful City Hall was the venue of the very glitzy Cardiff Life Awards 2019. A showcase for the City’s leading businesses, the awards also play tribute to the outstanding charities located within the Welsh capital. This year ten exceptional organisations were shortlisted for the charity category, amongst them City Hospice.
It is a true honour to sit amongst these charities, all brilliant, all playing their role in helping others. Given the calibre of the other finalists, it is even more of a privilege to have won the charity award. This award recognises the essential contribution which City Hospice makes everyday.
A Celebration of Cardiff’s local Hospice
As Cardiff’s local hospice, it is only through the strength of the community, and the wonderful support which we receive that we can provide such exceptional care for our patients.

This award has been a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our work amongst the City Hospice team, including staff and volunteers. It has also allowed the charity to raise awareness of our work amongst a new audience.
The Cardiff Life Awards highlight talented businesses, and their contribution in making Cardiff such a vibrant city. However the awards also help to shine a light on the third sector, and the outstanding contribution that charities make in Cardiff.
