In addition to being proudly sponsored by Brewin Dolphin, City Hospice’s Forever Flowers campaign is supported by a number of prominent Cardiff based businesses: Azets, Cardiff Rugby, Dario Security Co Ltd and Eversheds Sutherland.
Forever Flowers provides the public with a unique means to remember loved ones and celebrate life this Summer. The limited-edition tribute will feature in a striking display within the grounds of Cardiff Castle from 24th July to 8th August.
Supporting the local community is key to the team at Azets, the largest top 10 regional SME Accountancy and Business Advisory firm which delivers accounting, tax, audit, business and advisory services in the UK and internationally.
Recognising the important role City Hospice play in the community by providing invaluable medical, nursing and end of life care to patients and support to their families, in addition to the impact of the pandemic affecting how people cope with grief, loss and isolation, prompted the Azets team to get involved with the Forever Flowers campaign.
Sarah Case, Office Managing Partner at Azets, said: “At Azets, we believe in making a difference to our local communities and we genuinely care about helping to make a difference. This campaign enables us not only to support such an important cause, but to help make a real difference to people in such difficult circumstances and help them along the grieving process.”
Professional sports team Cardiff Rugby are keen supporters of City Hospice and have worked closely with the charity over a number of years, particularly with proud ambassadors club captain Ellis Jenkins and advisory board member Nigel Walker OBE.
Mike Brown, Head of Communications and Marketing at Cardiff Rugby, said: “We have all been affected by the events of the last 12 – 18 months and cannot bear to think of the impact it has had on those who have lost loved ones. Forever Flowers is a superb, positive and visually emotive initiative, just a stone’s throw from our home, which we are proud to support.
“City Hospice provide an incredible service and play an inspirational role within our local community and as a prominent sports team, we will use our platform to support our community and raise the profile of important charity work.”
For Cardiff based security company Dario Security Co Ltd, who offer total security solutions and specialise in static guarding security services for large construction and commercial clients in South Wales and the South West, Forever Flowers will be its first show of support for the charity.
Dario De’Abreu, Managing Director of Dario Security Co Ltd, said: “The past year has been challenging for so many people, where we have been away from our loved ones and community for extended periods of time, but events like Forever Flowers created by City Hospice provide a unique and memorable opportunity for people to come together and celebrate their loved ones.”
Proud to support the hospice and the families and patients cared for, the company is also looking forward to volunteering for City Hospice at upcoming events.
Global top 10 law practice Eversheds Sutherland, which provides legal advice and solutions to an international client base, is also supporting City Hospice’s Forever Flowers campaign.
Matthew Gough, Partner at Eversheds Sutherland, said: “As a Cardiff based business, we are aware of the amazing work carried out by City Hospice and are proud to support the charity in any way we can. The Forever Flowers campaign is a beautiful way of honouring those who have passed during the most difficult past year.”
