The third annual Brogue Does Beaujolais luncheon was another massive success, raising over £20,000 and putting on a great event to boot!
Chris Macnamara and his family again put on Cardiff’s best Beaujolais Day at the fantastic Cornerstone. A massive thank you must also go to Spiro Borg who provided the venue, food and drink free of charge plus an auction prize of a four-course meal plus wine and entertainment for 100 people.
An amazing £20,725 was raised on the day which was split between City Hospice and Spiro’s charity, The St David’s Cathedral Charity.
When one takes into account the £8,000 Chris also donated from funds raised at his shops across the UK and also the generous match funding that City Hospice gets from the Hodge Foundation at this time of year, the Brogue trader’s efforts result in an income of £36,725.
Guests were treated to magic from the brilliant Bryan Gunton and live music from Big Mac’s Wholly Soul Band.
