On Saturday 21st September 2019, the team from Birchgrove Surgery in Cardiff will be joining 200 walkers for the first City Hospice Sparkle Walk. The 10km evening walk is a chance for supporters to walk in memory of their loved ones and support Cardiff’s local hospice.
The staff and GPs of Birchgrove Surgery share their City Hospice Sparkle walk story;
“We are regularly reminded of the good work that the people in City Hospice do. They provide an excellent service to our patients who need them at their most vulnerable time. We are always looking for ways to support City Hospice. Further to our successful Million Step Challenge in January 2019, we have decided to get our walking boots on and step out in style for the Sparkle Walk.
The Sparkle Walk will spread some light amongst many families who are supported by City Hospice. We will be encouraging any of our patients who are unable to make the walk to make a donation to the charity, fill in a tag for any loved ones they wish to remember and we will gladly add their tag when decorating the Memory Tree.
Anyone who would also like to join independently can do so by following this link: www.cityhospice.org.uk
Donations can be made on Just Giving. Please tell us who you wish to remember with your donation and we will complete a tag on your behalf. Alternatively your donation can be made at the surgery where you will be able to complete your tag”.
