A thought for the Christmas period

Christmas is often a difficult time of year for our patients and families.  Faced with grief and loss it can feel impossible to join in with festivities.  It may feel unfair to be without the person you love at this time of family celebrations.   And so, out of respect for all of our patients who are no longer with us and for their many relatives who have been left behind, I will leave you with this thought for the Christmas period.

“I’ve told my children that when I die, to release balloons in the sky to celebrate that I graduated. For me, death is a graduation.”

Dr Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

You may wish to celebrate your loved ones at this time of year in some special way.  If you do, please feel free to send some pictures of your celebrations to our facebook page, our clinical team would love to see them.
