“Take a Walk in My Shoes ” – 10,000 steps for 14 days

During the firebreak lock down here in Wales  we decided to do something positive to help others

We’ve launched our “Take a Walk in My Shoes” Virtual Challenge. It’s simple walk 10,000 steps for 14 days and raise vital funds for City Hospice. Due to the  popularity of the challenge we have extended it until the end of November so it’s not too late to get involved.

Register for FREE

If you raise £150 you can Donate A Day of nursing care on a date that means something to you. You will also receive a Hospice Hero medal for your fantastic efforts. We’re so grateful for all amounts raised no matter how small or large. Every £1 goes towards providing essential nursing care.

You will be covering around 5 miles/8km and can make a huge difference to the lives of our patients and their families who we care for.

Everyday, our clinical team  are out in the community and walk many miles while caring for patients and their families with cancer and other life limiting illnesses – they can walk up to 10,000 steps a day.

We are inviting you to ‘Take a Walk in My Shoes’ to support our Recovery Fund for a period of two weeks (from when you sign-up!).

This is a brand-new virtual event so you can take part at your own pace and in your own time. Whether it’s walking the dog, walking up and down your stairs or doing laps of the garden – however you decide to get your steps in we will be very grateful for your support towards our Recovery Fund.

Join in as an individual or as part of a team (virtually)

Why not encourage friends, colleagues or family members to join you (virtually) and keep active whilst supporting Cardiff’s local hospice.

You can create your Just Giving Page here

Why not take the first step today by signing up to our Virtual Challenge right now?
