FAQs
Why are we holding a raffle?
The Spring Raffle raises funds for City Hospice so we can provide free nursing care, emotional and practical support, and bereavement services to patients and families across Cardiff. Buying a ticket also gives you the chance to win prizes.
How much do tickets cost?
£1 per ticket (minimum 5, maximum 100 per person).
Who can enter?
Anyone aged 18+ living in Great Britain. Staff directly involved in the raffle cannot enter.
How do I buy tickets?
Online via our website, by phone on 02920 524150, or by post using your raffle form.
Will I receive a physical ticket?
No. To reduce paper use, no physical tickets are issued. Raffle numbers will included in confirmation email or letter (depending on preference).
How can I check my raffle number?
If you haven’t received your raffle number, or have misplaced it, you can email fundraising@cityhospice.org.uk or call 02920 524150. For security, we will need to confirm some of your details before providing your raffle number.
How are winners chosen?
All entries are assigned a raffle number, and winners are selected using a random number generator. Personal data is not used in the draw and is kept securely within City Hospice’s systems. Winning numbers are published online.
What happens if payment is late?
Entries received after 31 March will be treated as donations and will not be entered into the raffle. If entering by post, to allow for postal delays, please post your form in plenty of time – ideally by 25 March if sending by 2nd Class.
How long do winners have to claim prizes?
Prizes must be claimed within 30 days of notification.
What does my ticket support?
Tickets fund nursing care, emotional and practical support, and bereavement services for patients and families across Cardiff.
