Susan Toner
Sue is a retired public health specialist, having worked for over 30 years influencing public health strategy, policy and action at local and national level in Wales. She initially qualified as a nurse and district nurse before moving into public health where she worked with communities and policy makers to improve access to health enhancing activities and environments. Qualified to Masters level, she was registered on the UK Public Health Register for 10 years until she retired in 2019. She remains engaged in some national and local public health programmes of work, influencing the impact of the environment on health and wellbeing.
Sue is married with 2 grown up children and enjoys walking, cycles a little and volunteers with the Witness Support Service at Cardiff Crown Court. She has undertaken overseas fundraising treks with Velindre Cancer Centre.
Sue looks forward to supporting the City Hospice in delivering and developing services for the people of Cardiff.
