John retired in April 2015 from the Wales Audit Office, where he had worked as an audit manager across a range of public sector organisations throughout Wales. He is a CIPFA qualified accountant and is currently the CIPFA Cymru-Wales Branch Secretary. He is married, with four grown up children and has lived in Cardiff since 1987.
