Plan your visit to our Forever Flowers display at Cardiff Castle
Thank you so much for supporting City Hospice Forever Flowers, the response we have had is incredible. We are so pleased to provide our community with a special way to remember loved ones.
If you are planning to visit Cardiff Castle to view the display the following information will help you plan your visit:
Opening times – Cardiff Castle
City Hospice Forever Flowers display will be from Saturday 24th July – Sunday 8th August the opening times are:
Monday – Wednesday 10am – 4pm
Thursday – Sunday 10am – 6pm
(please note that the Castle grounds maybe open later than these times; these timings relate to when our display will be open for visitors)
The castle grounds are free to enter, dogs are welcome, but they must be kept on a lead. There are plenty of tables and chairs around for members of the public to use, there is also a café on site and a large open space so you can sit on the grass.
Forever Flowers display
Our Forever Flowers display will be located on the grass bank in Cardiff Castle (in the right hand corner as you enter the Castle grounds). There will always be staff and volunteers present during the display, if you have any queries or questions or would just like a chat. We would be more than happy to help you.
Collecting your Forever Flowers 7th August and 8th August 2021 at Cardiff Castle
You will need the name and address of the person who placed the order when collecting your Forever Flower(s) on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th August. Please ensure you have received confirmation of your order of Forever Flower(s) (if you purchased online this may be in your junk mail). If you have any queries please email us here
If you have chosen to collect your Forever Flowers(s) on the final weekend of the display, it will look different to the rest of the time the display is open. Keeping you our supporters, volunteers, and staff safe when you come to collect your Forever Flowers(s) is of paramount importance. The flowers that form the display will be on a grass bank, therefore, we will bringing the flowers for collection to the top of the grass bank where they will be ‘re-planted’ for you to pick safely. You may therefore wish to visit Cardiff Castle before the collection dates to see the full display.
City Hospice Collections
If you’ve chosen to collect your Forever Flower(s) from City Hospice a member of our team will be in touch in the next few weeks to arrange a collection date for August (post display).
Forever Flowers by post
If you have opted to have your Forever Flowers(s) sent by post it will be packed and distributed to you within a couple of weeks of the display ending.
Events at Cardiff Castle
During the Forever Flowers display at Cardiff Castle, there are other events which are taking place during the opening hours of the display. These will not affect your visit to the Forever Flowers display.
Thursday 29th and Friday 30th July – Cardiff Blues Fun Day.
Sunday 1st August at 5pm – Welsh Summer Classical Prom
Monday 2nd August – Pinocchio 2pm
Tuesday 3rd August – Pinocchio at 11am and 2pm
Wednesday 4th August – Pinocchio at 11am and 2pm
Thursday 5th August – Pinocchio at 11am and 3pm
Monday 9th August – Pinocchio at 11am and 3pm
Remember to keep yourself safe, when visiting the display following current Covid 19 regulations regarding social distancing. We will have hand sanitizer for members of the public to use and our City Hospice volunteers will guide you to the display.
