Demos, the country's leading cross party think tank has recently completed a report 'Shopping for Good: the social value of charity retail.' and this suggests that charity shops continue to be a lifeline for town centres in decline, often filling premises that would otherwise be left vacant.  And where the local high street is regenerating, charity shops can play an active role in this rejuvenation through diversification and specialisation. Younger people are far less likely to associate charity shops with high street decline than older people (42 percent of 18-24 year olds compared with 72 percent of over 65s).  All this combines to make charity retail the cutting edge of your local high street.  Be part of City Hospice's charity retail team.

We have seven shops across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan raising funds for the patients and families we support each year. Each shop has something unique to offer, so click below to find out more about your local shop.

Our shops are always willing to accept your donations - from large electricals to jewelry to clothing - all going to support those in need of hospice care in Cardiff.

Each shop is supported by a team of volunteers. If you've got a spare few hours each week to help raise funds in our shops, please visit our volunteering pages.
