COVID 19 Appeal
Supporting our Community, supporting City Hospice
At City Hospice we are continuing to do everything we can to look after the people of Cardiff with life limiting illnesses when they need us most. We ask you to join us in supporting our exceptional team as they continue to provide care to some of the most vulnerable people in Cardiff, during this challenging time.
Whilst our clinical services are continuing with some minor adjustments, unfortunately we have had to postpone our fundraising events and activities. This has been a difficult decision but I’m sure you’ll agree it’s absolutely the right thing to do during this unprecedented time. Helping to keep our families, volunteers, supporters and staff safe is very important to us.
As Cardiff’s local hospice you’ll already be aware that as a charity we receive around one third of our income from the NHS. An additional £1.5m is raised from the support of the local community. We are so grateful for your continued support whether that is by attending our events, volunteering with us or supporting us with donations.
With our fundraising activities currently on hold we have to think of ways in which we can continue to generate income for the Charity. The support of the local community helping us, at this time, is gratefully appreciated. As such if you are in a position to help our COVID 19 Appeal in any of the following ways, we’d be most grateful:
Set up a regular monthly donation
Donate a Day – pay £150 to cover the cost of a day of nursing care
We do however understand if you are unable to help financially. All we’d ask is that you keep our exceptional team in your thoughts during this difficult time and celebrate their work when talking to your family and friends.
We are proud and privileged to have such fantastic supporters at City Hospice and our thoughts are with you and your families as together we deal with the uncertainty of the coming months.
Yours faithfully
Liz Andrews
Chief Executive
