Total Utility Connections has named City Hospice as its Charity of the Year for 2026, supporting the vital care the charity provides to people across Cardiff.

Delivering high-quality, flexible solutions for a wide range of utility connections requirements, Total Utility Connections prides itself on being a customer-focused business with a strong team culture.

Giving back to the community is important to the company, and choosing a cause that holds personal meaning for staff was a key priority.

The decision to support City Hospice came while selecting a charity for the company’s Cardiff Half Marathon team. A Business Development Manager shared how City Hospice had cared for her father and expressed how much it would mean to give back and represent the charity.

The partnership is already off to a strong start, with 16 members of staff signed up to take part in the Cardiff Half Marathon. The team hopes to grow that number even further, with a passionate group of colleagues eager to challenge themselves and raise money together.

Throughout 2026, Total Utility Connections plans to support City Hospice in a variety of ways. Alongside the half marathon, some employees will be taking on the Cardiff to Paris Bike Ride with Carter Lauren Construction, while others are looking forward to participating in charity golf days and organising in-house bake sales, with more fundraising ideas already in development. The company is committed to raising both vital funds and awareness over the year ahead.

Ross Madden, Head of IT at Total Utility Connections, said,

“We are excited to have City Hospice as our chosen charity for 2026. We are aware of the great help and support City Hospice can provide, and we are looking forward to raising as much as we can”.

Nicky Piper, Corporate Partnerships Manager at City Hospice, said,

“We are incredibly grateful for the enthusiasm and dedication already shown by the team at Total Utility Connections and we look forward to working together throughout the year”.
