In addition to being proudly sponsored by Jeff White Motors, City Hospice’s Forever Flowers campaign is supported by a several leading South Wales based businesses: Azets, Cardiff Rugby, Dario Security Co Ltd, Eversheds Sutherland, Harlequin and Premier Forest Group.

Forever Flowers provides the public with a unique means to celebrate life and remember cherished family members, friends, colleagues and loved ones. The limited-edition tributes will feature in a striking display within the grounds of Cardiff Castle from Saturday July 30 to Sunday August 14.

Azets, the largest Top 10 regional SME accountancy and business advisory firm delivering accounting, tax, audit, business and advisory services in the UK and internationally, believes in making a difference in their local community and are continuing their support for Forever Flowers in 2022.

Sarah Case, Office Managing Partner at Azets, said: “In the first year of supporting the campaign we got to know City Hospice and the impact this campaign has had for so many people, helping them cope with the loss of a loved one, during a pandemic. We understand it is never easy to say goodbye and this campaign not only generates valuable funds for City Hospice but also gives people something to cherish and keep in their time of need. This is why Forever Flowers is so important to us and why we wanted to continue our support this year.”

Situated in the heart of the city, professional rugby team Cardiff Rugby play an active role in the community and are delighted to support City Hospice’s Forever Flowers campaign again this year.

Mike Brown, Head of Communications and Marketing at Cardiff Rugby, said: “We have not only been touched by the work of City Hospice but the bright and vibrant environments they provide to ensure patients can live life to the fullest. The Forever Flowers campaign is a prime example of this positive outlook and was a brilliant initiative which we were thrilled to be a small part of in its inaugural year.

“Seeing the banks in Cardiff Castle covered in a sea of orange was enormously touching. We can’t wait to see the sunflowers across Cardiff Castle this year and would urge everyone to get involved by purchasing a sunflower in honour of a loved one and to pay tribute to the fantastic people of City Hospice.”

Family run security business Dario Security Co Ltd first supported Forever Flowers in 2021 and, after volunteering and learning more about the care the charity provides to patients and their families, the company is back to support the campaign again in 2022.

Dario De’Abreu, Managing Director of Dario Security Co Ltd, said: “We are very excited to be part of such a good cause and happy to help a charity that has such an impact on our community. We have learnt so much about City Hospice over the last 12 months and were very keen to get involved with them again.

“It was nice to see how helpful the charity was when we spent the day at Cardiff Castle last summer, watching the family members and spending time with the volunteers. City Hospice provides incredible care not just to patients but their families as well and we encourage people to get involved with City Hospice’s Forever Flowers campaign.”

Eversheds Sutherland, a global commercial law firm with 74 offices around the world, are committed to their local community and are supporting Forever Flowers once again.

Kathryn Roberts, Senior Office Partner at Eversheds Sutherland, said: “Forever Flowers is a beautiful way of honouring and remembering loved ones who have passed away. The campaign is about reflection and remembering loved ones, but it is also about hope and celebrating life.

“Our volunteers are looking forward to attending the event and learning more about how City Hospice has supported people with their grief. The campaign provides support to those grieving in a very sensitive way and provides a way to honour individuals but also bring together a community.”

Having followed the 2021 campaign closely and been moved by the beautiful 1440 flower display at Cardiff Castle, Harlequin Printing and Packaging, a supplier of printing and packaging services based in Pontyclun, is supporting the campaign this year.

The company works with startups to household brands and caters to all types of printing and packaging needs, specialising in large format printing, sports branding, events branding, food packaging and sustainable packaging solutions.

Delme Beddow, Sales Director, said: “We are thrilled to be supporting such a great charity that provides vital support and care in Cardiff. We have worked closely with City Hospice on many campaigns and are always blown away by their creativity and genuine passion for helping people.

“As well as helping us enhance our CSR policy, we are also eager to support Forever Flowers for many other reasons. The past few years have been tough for all of us, with many of our staff members having lost close family members and friends. We believe this campaign to be a great way to remember those who we have lost and raise awareness of the great work City Hospice delivers day in, day out. We are looking forward to seeing this year’s sunflower display at Cardiff Castle.”

Newport-based Premier Forest Group, one of the biggest timber companies in the country which imports and distributes timber panels, softwoods and hardwoods, will also be supporting Forever Flowers.

Terry Edgell, CEO of Premier Forest and a business ambassador for City Hospice, said: “Forever Flowers is a positive way to commemorate and celebrate the lives of people we love and have sadly lost over the years. It’s a beautiful way to come together, share in our grief and in the joy our loved ones gave us, and to show support for each other through difficult times.

“After seeing the beautiful arrangement of the flowers at Cardiff Castle last year, I brought home my six Forever Flowers and placed them in my garden. Their vibrancy and look bring a smile to my face as well as precious memories of my late parents and grandparents. We hope that the campaign is successful again this year and look forward to seeing the sunflowers.”
