City Hospice is delighted to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in the Radyr & Morganstown Festival 2026 for raising an incredible £7,000 in support of our work across Cardiff.

With this year’s inspiring theme, “Caring for the Community,” the festival perfectly reflected the values that bring people together and make a lasting difference to those who need support most.

The Radyr & Morganstown Festival is a wonderful celebration of local talent, creativity and community spirit. Through a programme of events, performances and activities, residents and visitors came together to support causes that matter.

Every volunteer who gave their time, every performer who entertained festival-goers, and every person who purchased a raffle ticket or attended an event played a part in raising this fantastic total. Their collective efforts will help City Hospice continue to provide specialist palliative care to patients and families living with life-limiting illnesses across Cardiff.

We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to Pugh’s Garden Village for their contribution to the fundraising total.

As part of the festival, Pugh’s hosted the much-loved Gardener’s Question Time, featuring expert panel members Terry Walton, Roger Crookes and Jim Goodwin. The event was a great success and helped generate additional funds for City Hospice.

Pugh’s Garden Village has been a valued supporter of our charity, and we are incredibly grateful for their ongoing commitment to helping us care for patients and families throughout the local community.

Katie Vaughan, Senior Community Fundraiser at City Hospice:

“We are incredibly grateful to everyone involved in the Radyr & Morganstown Festival for their outstanding support. Raising £7,000 is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful example of what can be accomplished when a community comes together for a shared cause. These funds will help us continue providing essential care and support to patients and families across Cardiff who are living with life-limiting illnesses. On behalf of everyone at City Hospice, thank you to the festival organisers, volunteers, supporters and Pugh’s Garden Village for their generosity and commitment to caring for our local community.”
