Llanishen High School are getting festive to support Cardiff’s local hospice this Christmas
Once again Llanishen high School are helping support City Hospice- this time by entering into the Christmas spirit by taking part in Jolly Jumpers. You may remember earlier in the year over 300 members of Llanishen High School and the school community raised thousands for City Hospice with their LHS to Patagonia Challenge.
We are delighted to have become a charity partner and excited that they are getting festive with us!
The 15th December is LLanishen High school’s Jolly Jumper Day and pupils from all year groups will be getting involved. A fun day will be had by all and each pupil will make a small donation in return for wearing their Christmas jumper. A non-uniform day with a Christmas twist!
Thomas, Head Boy explains:
“The Covid-19 pandemic has had a huge effect on charities such as City Hospice, LHS has made it their priority to help in any way we can. We couldn’t think of a better way to have some fun whilst raising vital funds for City Hospice.
We are so excited to take part in the Jolly Jumper’s campaign, but this is by no means a stopping point for us. As a school we are determined to go as far as we can and give as much as possible towards a cause so close to our hearts. In light of this, the charity sub-committee of the school council has brainstormed ideas of how we can further fundraise for City Hospice, which demonstrates our commitment and dedication to the charity.
It would be great to see other schools, businesses and community groups getting involved with Jolly Jumpers too to support our local Hospice this Christmas too!”
Would your school, workplace, community group, friends, sports club like to get involved ? We’d love to hear from you! Find out more information below or contact us
