Kieran O’Connor, founder of Place, donates 10% of new book profits to City Hospice
Place is a recruitment company, working with technology companies of all sizes to hire the best people for their businesses throughout the UK and Europe. After starting his business towards the end of last year, Kieran wanted to reach a goal he has always wanted to achieve: writing a book.
Kieran said,
“Reading has been a hobby of mine for over a decade. Writing a book has also been a goal I was going to achieve, I just wasn’t sure when. The recruitment industry is notoriously tough, particularly in people’s first few years. So, I set out to write a book to help people with knowledge that I wish I had access to when I first started out.”
Kieran’s new book 33 Ways to Become a Better Recruiter (and Human) delves into 33 different hints and tips to become the best recruiter you can be. As the launch of Kieran’s debut, he has decided to support City Hospice by donating 10% of the profits to the charity.
Kieran added,
“I’m proud to be supporting City Hospice by donating 10% of all profits to the charity, forever. I’ve chosen to support City Hospice because of their altruistic work they do with supporting people in Cardiff. It’s truly admirable. I would encourage any individuals or companies to support City Hospice. A quick trip down to the centre will give them an idea of just how much work City Hospice do.”
City Hospice is the only at home provider of palliative and end of life care in the capital. Without the support of local businesses, the charity would not be able to continue to support the people of Cardiff, at what can be the most difficult time of their lives.
Katie Vaughan, Community Fundraiser at City Hospice, said,
“We are so grateful for Kieran’s commitment to support City Hospice in this way. Good luck with the book launch Kieran, and we can’t wait to continue working with you in the future.”
