Don Wilkes has completed his Mile of Pennies challenge as part of his #50before50

Don has taken on 50 challenges to complete in the last year, in memory of his dad Dan Wilkes who was cared for by GTHC. These include running all the park runs in Wales, skinny dipping and ‘ice blocking’ in Vancouver! Check out the full list of challenges and see the photos on his JustGiving page.

Don completed the Mile of Pennies on 29th October, laying 84,480 pennies around our Hospice Centre garden.  It took nearly 5 hours to lay, then an hour to collect them all back (all the money is going to GTHC clinical services).

Thanks to everyone who donated pennies and helped on this epic adventure on the day and congratulations on Don on this brilliant achievement.
