DEPOT continues to support City Hospice

DEPOT, one of Cardiff’s most exciting and innovative venues, has once again selected City Hospice, Cardiff’s local hospice, as its Charity of the Year for 2025. This marks the third consecutive year of partnership, underscoring DEPOT’s ongoing commitment to supporting a local charity.

Established in 2014, DEPOT has become Cardiff’s leading alternative event space, renowned for its creativity and unique experiences. Hosting popular events such as Bingo Lingo, Street Food Social, and DEPOT in the Castle, DEPOT blends street food, entertainment, and creativity, cultivating a vibrant social scene in Cardiff.

In 2025, the organisation will continue to support City Hospice through a series of fundraising events. Last year, City Hospice attended several DEPOT Live events at Cardiff Castle, and through bucket collections and a voluntary discount donation on ticket prices, an astounding £5,000 was raised.

The funds raised will help City Hospice continue providing at-home palliative care to patients with terminal or life-limiting illnesses, while also offering essential support to their families. At the end of August, Nick Saunders visited City Hospice for a cheque presentation, rounding off a successful summer of fundraising. During his visit, Nick had the opportunity to see firsthand the vital work done by the hospice and meet the dedicated team who provide compassionate care to patients and their families.

Nick Saunders, Managing Director of DEPOT, said,

“We are thrilled to continue our support for City Hospice. The meaningful work the charity does throughout the capital truly resonates with our team and community. We’re excited to collaborate further and explore new ways to raise vital funds.”

Mac Smith, Fundraising & Events Manager at City Hospice, said,

“We have thoroughly enjoyed our partnership with DEPOT and the fundraising events we’ve had the opportunity to attend. Thank you so much for your continued support and for helping us raise awareness of the vital services City Hospice provides. We look forward to continuing our relationship in 2024-25 and have exciting plans for the year ahead.”
