Over 25 stunning pieces of art, donated by artists from all over Wales, went under the hammer at this year’s Art Auction, raising thousands for Cardiff’s Local Hospice.

Generously sponsored and hosted by the CPS Group, the night was a real success.

Guests were treated to a sparkling reception and outstanding food, provided by regular supporter, Spiro.

The auction started at 8pm with a lot of interest from the guests.  Art from regular supporters such as Karl Davies and Andrew Lanning proved as popular as ever, selling for well above their guide prices.

Welsh Sculptor, Ben Jones, donated for the first time this year; his stunning Sculpture Osprey, Glaslyn was bought by CPS Managing Director Jason Granding for £500!

Also donating for the first time was Welsh artist Denise Di Battista whose gorgeous work was some of the most popular of the night, reaching far above and beyond the guide price.  It was our favourite in the office too!

Auctioneer Nicky Piper concluded a wonderful evening with a great Q&A session with our Cardiff Blues and International Rugby players Ellis Jenkins and Scott Andrews.

With match funding from Jane Hodge Foundation, this year’s auction has the potential to be one of our best yet. We cannot thank our supporters enough.

We can’t conclude without a special mention to the ever generous Chris Macnamara who, not only purchased some beautiful art work for himself, but also donated the brilliant first prize to our raffle.

THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this year’s auction a huge success!

We look forward to updating you with our final figure raised.
