Cardiff Wine Festival chooses City Hospice as Charity of the Year

The Cardiff Wine Festival, founded by friends Robert Maggi, Marco Perini and Luca Montuori, is dedicated to bringing the finest wines to enthusiasts and professionals. Their ethos of celebrating tradition, innovation, and craftsmanship aligns beautifully with the compassionate work of City Hospice, which provides essential palliative care to patients and families across Cardiff.

This partnership will see the independent Italian wine specialist support City Hospice throughout 2025, including their much-anticipated Wine Festival in May.

Founders, Robert Maggi,  Marco Parini & Luca Montuori, said:

“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with City Hospice as our chosen charity. Wine has always been about bringing people together, sharing stories, and creating meaningful connections—values that align perfectly with the incredible work City Hospice does in supporting individuals and families in our community. We are proud to contribute to their vital mission and look forward to raising awareness and funds through our festival”.

As part of this exciting partnership, Wines n Vines will be raising funds and awareness for City Hospice during their prestigious Wine Festival 2025, taking place at The Hilton Hotel in Cardiff. This two-day event, set to be one of the biggest celebrations of wine in Wales, will feature over 300 wines, exclusive masterclasses, and tasting experiences.

City Hospice, Cardiff’s local hospice, is the only provider of home-based specialist palliative care in the capital. Funds raised by Wines n Vines will ensure the charity can continue to care for patients and their families at what can be the most difficult time of their lives.

Sarah-Jane Smart, Corporate Relationship Manager, said

“We are delighted to welcome Robert, Marco and Luca as supporters of City Hospice and look forward to growing their relationship with us this year as their chosen charity.

I’m thrilled that they have chosen to partner with us for the infamous Wine Festival in May 2025, held at The Hilton Hotel in Cardiff. The two day event will showcase 300+ wines and offer masterclasses, providing a fantastic platform to raise awareness of City Hospices’ work, and I am sure it will be a fantastic experience for all.
