Wag this Way is back! The popular pup-friendly event returns to the grounds of Bute Park, Cardiff on 28 April 2024.

Dogs and their owners are invited to join the charity for a 5km sponsored walk through the beautiful surroundings of Bute Park, followed by the opportunity to win a coveted rosette in the annual dog show and a chance to explore the treats, activities and items on offer in our Dog Festival event village.

We are delighted to announce that our headline sponsor for Wag this Way 2024 is Cardiff Veterinary Centre. Let’s meet them…

Cardiff Veterinary Centre

Cardiff Veterinary Centre is an independent small animal veterinary practice based in Cardiff which cares for dogs, cats and other small animals including chinchillas, guinea pigs, rabbits and rats. Its dedicated and experienced team, including three vets, four registered veterinary nurses, one student veterinary nurse, one patient care assistant, three receptionists and one practice manager, are all committed to ensuring pets receive the very best care and attention when they visit the centre.

The centre recognises the vital work that City Hospice does, from specialist palliative care to bereavement counselling, to support local people during a difficult chapter in their lives and decided to get involved with Wag this Way to highlight the charity’s hard work and help raise funds.

Staff from the centre will be hosting the annual dog show this year, where owners have the opportunity to enter their pooches into fun, competitive categories such as Dazzling Duo, Gorgeous Girl, Handsome Hound and more!

Emily Price, Practice Manager at Cardiff Veterinary Centre, said: “The whole team is looking forward to a fun-filled day and can’t wait to meet new dogs and their ‘pawrents’! From the sponsored walk to the festival event village, it will be an all-round brilliant day full of prizes and games while raising money at the same time for such a good cause.”

Who are the other businesses supporting Wag this Way 2024?

We are pleased to share that the event is also being supported by sponsors Gambit Corporate Finance and MKM Cardiff.

Gambit is a leading independent corporate finance advisory firm specialising in M&A, debt advisory, fundraising and consultancy. Established in 1992, it is the UK’s longest established independent corporate finance advisory firm, with offices in Cardiff and London.

MKM is the UK’s leading independent builder’s merchant, with branches across England, Scotland and Wales. Open to the trade and public, the business carries a wide range of building materials to keep projects on track and a new branch will be opening in Cardiff this year.
