This October, Amber will be joining #TeamHospice as she takes on the Cardiff Half Marathon in memory of beloved Grandad.

Amber, along with her partner, Owen, and her brother, Conor, will be running side by side in the Cardiff Half Marathon to raise vital funds for City Hospice, a charity that holds a special place in their hearts.

We spoke with Amber,

“Participating in the Cardiff Half Marathon is a monumental challenge for me, but it’s also an incredible opportunity to raise funds for a cause that’s deeply meaningful. City Hospice cared for my Grandad with compassion, and it’s my way of giving back.

The nurses were invaluable in ensuring my Grandad’s comfort and quality of life. Since his passing, my family and I have participated in the charity’s Sparkle Walk for the past two years, and we are always eager to show our continuous support towards City Hospice”.

Amber’s training is well underway, as she actively engages with her running club in Cardiff and prepares for long-distance running as the evenings lengthen.

Corporate Relationships Manager, Nicky Piper said,

“A massive thank you to Amber, Owen & Connor for joining #TeamHospice for the Cardiff Half Marathon. We wish you all the best in your training and we can’t wait to cheer you on in October.
