A team from blue self storage, one of our valued Charity of the Year partners, is stepping up to take on the extraordinary challenge this summer.
This June, City Hospice is inviting supporters to trek the infamous Welsh mountain of Pen y Fan not once but four times in one day.
A group of colleagues from blue self storage have signed up to take on the challenge together, raising vital funds to support City Hospice care across the community.
Rhiannon Berry shares why the team decided to take part:
“City Hospice provides incredible care and support for people living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as their families. It’s the kind of work that touches lives in ways most people don’t always see, but many of us have felt personally, whether through someone close to us, a colleague, or friends going through it.
It’s something that resonates across our team. As Kath shared, “We all know someone who’s needed this kind of care, this is our way of giving something back.”
We know the challenge ahead won’t be easy. As Martin put it, “It’s going to be tough, but it’s nothing compared to what some families go through every day.”
That’s what pushed us to take this on. It’s not just about the physical climb; it’s about standing behind a cause that truly matters and helping raise vital funds for a charity that does so much for so many.
And if you’ve ever been up Pen y Fan, you’ll know the views are incredible every time, a great reminder of why it’s all worth it.
We’re also supporting City Hospice in other ways throughout the year, but this felt like a real statement of commitment. If we can make even a small difference, it’s worth every step.
If you’ve got a free day and fancy a challenge, we’d genuinely recommend signing up. It’s a great way to support an amazing cause, meet new people, and be part of something bigger”.
