Blake wins the face of Wag this Way competition and helps launch our 5k sponsored dog walk and dog show which is back for 2022

5-month-old, Rottweiler Blake wins the face of Wag this Way Competition and will be featured across marketing materials to help promote this event that we are very excited is back for 2022.

Tom Wildin, owner of Blake explains:

“We are supporting City Hospice as we are aware of the incredible work, they do to provide such an invaluable service for those who need it at the most crucial and vulnerable time of their lives. The support they provide to manage symptoms alongside providing dignity and respect, for those at the end of their life with the extended support to their loved ones is incredible.

We entered Blake into the Wag this Way competition to as we feel that he is so adorable and deserving of being in with a chance to win. We would also like to change people’s beliefs and negative opinions about Rottweilers being bad or nasty tempered dogs. They are in fact one of the most loving happy breeds we have ever come across. Blake is a great example of this as he is such a happy and sociable boy who loves other dogs and people.

When Blake won the competition, we were over the moon, we felt so proud of him. Our friends and family knew within minutes.

We were a little worried about the speed of which is has grown as we thought people may think we entered a different dog but luckily, he still looks just as cute only bigger. We were really looking forward to the photoshoot with Thomas Harper Photography  in Bute Park. This went so well; Blake was a complete natural. It’s like he’s been a dog before!! The photographer was amazing at what he did which allowed us all to thoroughly enjoy the afternoon. Tom Harper has captured some truly stunning pictures of Blake.

On the day we are very much looking forward to the social aspect of the walk. It will bring people from all walks of life together with at least one thing in common, the love for their dogs. Blake will certainly love meeting new friends and being the face of the event.

People should bring their doggo’s along for a fun day out around the beautiful Bute Park to raise more awareness and funds for the hospice so they can continue the incredible work they do. If nothing else, your dog will have the best day out!

Thank you so much to Tom and partner Ashley for supporting City Hospice. We can’t wait to see Blake be a true star at Wag this Way next March
