Rita and Ken Bagshaw recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in style as they celebrated their anniversary surrounded by family and friends at their party at Llandaff Rugby Club on 1st April.
Rita and Ken had decided that instead of receiving gifts to celebrate their fiftieth year of marriage, they wanted to accept donations to City Hospice instead to show their support for City Hospice’s palliative and bereavement care in Cardiff.
Rita told us,
“It was for our 50th wedding anniversary, amazing we lasted so long! And City Hospice has always been high up on our list of charities that we wanted to support, especially because of the care that City Hospice gave to my brother Kevin who passed away 4 years ago. The nurses who cared for Kevin were absolutely brilliant. They put his mind at ease with everything that was going on so we thought we’d do our bit to show our support.”

“Thank you to Rita, Ken as well as family and friends for their generous support for City Hospice. Rita and Ken went above and beyond their initial fundraising target and were able to raise over £700 for City Hospice, a fantastic achievement.
