Your donations will help us continue to care for patients and families in Cardiff

We have to raise over £2m every year to ensure we can continue to care for patients and their families in Cardiff.  By donating your unwanted, good quality items, you can help us make sure we never have to turn a patient away.

How can I donate?

You can take your unwanted items directly to one of our shops or you can drop the items at our Hospice Centre in Whitchurch.

What can I donate?

We accept most good quality items of clothing, shoes, handbags, bric a brac, DVDs, CDs etc. We also now accept large electricals and furniture.  If you are in any doubt about whether we can accept your donation, please give us a call on 029 2052 4150

What difference will my donation make?

Your donation can make a huge difference to the lives of people facing the worst situations.

When Eleri and Gabriel's father died after a short battle with Cancer, they were just 10 years old. City Hospice was able to work closely with the twins through our Children's Bereavement Groups to help them come to terms with their father's death.  Gabriel was very angry and found it so hard to cope with what had happened.  Eleri wanted to protect her mum and so didn't talk about her feelings at all.  She felt like she had no one to turn to until she attended our group.  The Children's Bereavement Group helped them recognise how they were feeling, understand the emotions and deal with them.  Before their dad died they were able to create memory boxes together filled with birthday cards, photographs and letters and other things that remind them of him.

"I know they're having a bad day when their memory boxes are out"
