Support our community, support your City Hospice
For over 35 years City Hospice has been committed to caring for people in Cardiff living with life limiting and terminal illness. During the COVID 19 outbreak our commitment remains the same. We want to ensure our patients receive the care and compassion they deserve. Our frontline clinical team continue to care for Cardiff.
Our ethos has always been to care for people in their own homes; this is where our patients tell us they wish to remain during their lasts days or weeks. By maintaining this ethos our patients stay out of hospital, and in a setting which is familiar and comforting to them.
If a person in our community; it may be a loved one, friend or colleague requires community palliative care, City Hospice is the outstanding charity which provides this essential service.
We work with the NHS to provide palliative care for people with life limiting illnesses and a terminal diagnosis
Our charity is partially funded by the NHS, but we need to raise over £1.5m a year to deliver our service. These unprecedented times, are creating uncertainty for many people and the health and well-being of our community is paramount.
At a time when we’re needed most all City Hospice events, at least until the end of July, are postponed. Our charity shops have are closed and the fundraising activities of our regular supporters have been halted.
We are asking the community to help us during the difficult days ahead, so that we can continue to provide nursing and essential care to those who are terminally ill or living with a life limiting illness in Cardiff. By looking after patients in their own homes we’re also helping to protect the NHS at this critical time.
We need your help more than ever
A gift large or small, makes a great difference to City Hospice. And our care means the world to a family facing terminal illness.
Thank you for supporting our community, by supporting your City Hospice.
