Wag this Way 5km sponsored dog walk and festival in the beautiful grounds of Bute Park, Cardiff

Our Wag this Way 2024 event which takes place on Sunday 28th April is back in Bute Park, Cardiff. The 5km sponsored walk starts at 11am where you’ll have the opportunity to walk through the beautiful surroundings of Bute Park with your furfriends!

Thank you to our headline sponsor, Cardiff Veterinary Centre, for supporting our Wag this Way 2024.

Registration fee includes a day pass to the festival, doggy bandana for your furry loved ones and on completion of the 5k walk, you’ll be greeted with a goody bag (one per dog). Registration will open from 9.30am on the day for you to collect your participant number.

The warm-up starts at 10:45am followed by the walk at 11am.

Market stalls and food & drink stands will be open from 9.30am for you to enjoy before and after your 5k walk.

Dog Festival

This year the event village will be bigger and better; with market stalls, live music, dog shows, dog activities and much more, Wag This Way will be a must attend for all dog lovers.

Dog show hosted by Cardiff Veterinary Centre

This year our annual dog show will be hosted by the staff from Cardiff Veterinary Centre, you will have the opportunity to enter your pooch into various categories such as Handsome Hound, Gorgeous Girl, Dazzling Duo with more categories still to be announced! Each category costs £2 to enter and you could be in with a chance of winning a coveted rosette.

Stalls at Wag this Way 2024

We will also have a variety of stalls and activities available from 9.30am – 4pm, if you are a local business and would like to be at this years event please please visit our stall holder page for more information.

Price includes: entry to the walk, a day pass to the festival, a doggy bandana and a goody bag per dog.
Early bird Adult (16+) – £10
Offer will end on Thursday 29th February
Standard Adult (16+) – £15
Standard Child (6-15) – £5

Dogs – FREE

All children must take part with a registered adult.
