Make the memory of your loved ones shine at the City Hospice Sparkle Walk
Join us for the City Hospice Sparkle Walk, an evening of light, reflection and togetherness in the heart of Cardiff Bay.
Walk in memory of someone special, celebrate their life, and help support City Hospice to provide vital care to local people and their families.
📍 Event details
Starting at Tiger Yard, you’ll follow our scenic Cardiff Bay route, taking in Roath Dock, the Barrage and the International Sports Village before making your way back to Tiger Yard.
Choose the distance that’s right for you:
- 5km – a shorter, gentle route
- 10km – go a little further
Along the way, we’ll pause at the Barrage lookout point, where you’ll have the opportunity to take a moment, reflect and remember someone special.
Entry Fees:
Super Early Bird – Friday 25th September 2026 – Thursday 31st December 2026
- Adult Walker: £12.50
- Child Walker: £8.50
Early Bird – Friday 1st January 2027 – Friday 30th April 2027
- Adult Walker: £15
- Child Walker: £10
Standard – Saturday 1st May 2027 – Thursday 16th September 2027
- Adult Walker: £18
- Child Walker: £12.50

Sparkle Walk is open to all ages and abilities, and you can walk at your own pace.

Sparkle Walk is about coming together – whether you walk with friends, family, colleagues, or on your own.
Take your time, enjoy the atmosphere and make the walk your own. You can walk in memory of someone special, celebrate someone you love, or simply come together to support City Hospice.
We’re also continuing our more sustainable approach to Sparkle Walk:

Your entry includes a medal, a glass of bubbly on completion and a fully supported route on the night.

Every step you take helps City Hospice provide vital care and support to people across Cardiff.
Your entry fee helps cover the cost of putting on the event, but your fundraising is where you can make an even bigger difference.

£150 could fund a full day of nursing care for a patient in their own home.
