Make the memory of your loved ones shine at the City Hospice Sparkle Walk
We invite friends, family and colleagues to take part in our annual 10km night-time walk to remember loved ones and raise vital funds for patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
Write the name of your loved one on your specially produced City Hospice Sparkle Walk t-shirt as you embark on this night-time walk.
The 10km route will commence within the beautiful surroundings of Insole Court, an iconic location the heart of Llandaff. From there, we will journey through Llandaff into Whitchurch. Here, we will make a meaningful stop at City Hospice, where you can take a moment to hang a ribbon in memory of a loved one in our garden.
Upon leaving City Hospice, we will continue our walk heading back towards Insole Court where you will be greeted with a well-deserved medal and glass of Sparkle.

How will taking part help City Hospice?
By taking part in this event, you’ll be helping us to continue providing specialist medical, nursing and end of life care to patients in their own homes. We offer counselling (to adults and children), welfare benefits advice and day centres with a range of activities. We are the only at-home palliative care provider for the city of Cardiff and need to raise over £3m to keep these specialist services running. That’s why your support is essential and always appreciated.
Your fundraising journey
Did you know that £250 could provide a course of dedicated counselling for the whole family to support them through uncertain times? You can start your fundraising journey for Sparkle Walk 2025 via Justgiving and clicking ‘start fundraising’, or by printing off a sponsorship form.

Please note this event is suitable for families, groups of friends, colleagues, and any persons over the age of 8. People under the age of 18 must walk with a registered adult at all times.
